Feeding the Ducks

We went to the pediatrician on Saturday morning when Piper and Rosemary woke up with 100+ degree fevers, and found out that they have double ear infections.  We stayed close to home on Saturday, and let the kids sleep in on Sunday.  They eventually felt well enough on Sunday that we went to Aldridge Gardens for about an hour.  We had some stale bread, so we took that along to feed the ducks.  Unfortunately, there was just one mean goose that seemed interested in the bread.

DSC_0144 WAlthough the goose was interested in the bread, the goose was not so interested in the kids and started hissing at them.  Rosemary had the good sense to steer clear of the goose.  Henry simply ran from the goose when it started hissing.  Piper, on the other hand, walked right up to the goose, pointed her finger in its face, and said, “No no duck!!”

Luckily, Gary stepped in and rescued her before the “duck” got her finger.

haha! Oh no! I, for one, am not a fan of ducks. They seem to all be so temperamental!! Glad the kiddos are feeling better. I've got a sick little boy on my hands too :(
