We had a fun and full Easter weekend. On Friday, Grandma and Grandpa (Gary’s parents) came into town and we went out to dinner. Then on Saturday, we went hiking at Tannehill State Park. Penelope was beyond thrilled to see her “backpack” (where she rides on Gary’s back) and Henry was excited to have his bug jar in hand.
At one point I found a pretty good location to take some photos, so I had all four kids pile in to try to get some photos. Grandma joined them, too. The kids still aren’t just super cooperative for group photos, but at least now they don’t all run in different directions! They are also developing some fake smiles, which I think are hilarious. . . .
In taking all these photos, I managed to take what may be my all-time favorite photograph of Penelope. I don’t know what it is about this photo, but I think it somehow captures that in-between stage of 20 months:
Unfortunately, we didn’t come home with any bugs. It wasn’t from a lack of trying, though.
Great start to our Easter weekend!!

Is it just me, or has Henry hit a huge growth spurt?! Love the pics :)
Lora, I think he has. He went from a 2T to a 4T from September to November of last year, and Gary and I were just talking last night about how he looks like he's shooting up again. He had a slow start, but he's making up for it now!
