Visiting with Cousin Sydney

Sydney, Seth's (my brother's) 3.5 year old daughter, came down this past Friday for our photographer to take some photos. She was not sure what to think about the babies. When she came in I offered her some cheese, and she told me that she didn't like the kind of cheese I had. I told her that it was the kind that the babies liked, and then she said, "I want to feed the babies!" I told her okay, just to be sure to give them little pieces.

I didn't quite expect what happened next. I know that the babies stay in their playroom a lot, but I never thought about how the gates into the playroom isn't really obvious. Sydney ran up to the playroom "fence," pinched off a little piece of cheese, and then proceeded to feed the babies -- just like animals at a petting zoo. . . .

After I watched Sydney feeding the "animals" for a while, I told her that she could actually go inside the playroom if she wanted. I let her in, and she continued to feed the babies their cheese.

Sydney was a great help with the babies, too. She gave Henry his paci whenever it slipped out of his mouth. . . .

. . . and Sydney was able to "hold" Rosemary some. . . .

. . . but, Sydney wasn't that successful at convincing Piper to be held!

Okay.... I'm thinking that a visit to see their "gym aunts/uncles" should be scheduled soon. Don't you? We're talking about a Saturday birthday party........

I agree on the gym aunts/uncles!!! I was thinking about that this morning. The babies sleep until 7:30 or 8:00, and then have to eat, so we usually can't make it anywhere until 9:30 or so. Will everyone still be at the gym then, or do you think we can have the party at our place?

If possible let's have it at the gym on Sat. the 27th. We usually stay later on Saturday anyway. Can't wait. We miss you

Can't do the 27th. . . . That's the day of the BIG 0-1 birthday party!! Shocking, huh?

Hmmm.... that's what we thought. But this Sat is no good for us. Betsy's out of town next Saturday and the Saturday after is the 4th of July. Should we look at 7/11?

There is one Saturday in July when I have promised to go to a brunch for the local Mothers of Multiples club, but I don't think that date has been set yet. Other than that, we have absolutely nothing planned for July. . . .
