Three Lees in a Pod plus the Little Sprout: Potty Training . . . Again?

On June 25, 2008, at 30 weeks gestation, we welcomed our three Lees in a pod to our family. Piper was born at 12:36 p.m. weighing 3 pounds 2 ounces, Henry followed at 12:37 p.m. weighing 3 pounds 15 ounces, and Rosemary showed up last at 12:37 p.m. weighing 1 pound 14 ounces. On August 2, 2008, Piper came home from the NICU at what would have been 35 weeks and 3 days of gestation weighing 4 pounds 15 ounces. On August 7, 2008, Henry followed and came home at what would have been 36 weeks and 1 day of gestation weighing 6 pounds. Finally, on August 16, 2008, at what would have been 37 weeks and 3 days gestation, Rosemary came home weighing 4 pounds 4 ounces. On August 10, 2010, at 39 weeks and 4 days gestation, we welcomed Penelope to our family. She was born at 12:35 p.m. weighing 7 pounds 14.8 ounces. On August 13, 2010, she and her mama came home from the hospital on the same day, with Penelope weighing in at 7 pounds 4 ounces.

Potty Training . . . Again?

The big kids were pretty late potty trainers. We tried it out a time or two and they were not remotely ready until a week before they turned three – which was about 9 months ago. This past weekend, Penelope started taking off her diaper and asking to use the potty. She hasn’t done anything in the potty yet, but she’s definitely interested.

She likes checking out Peek-A-Boo Barn on the iPhone while she’s on the potty. . . .

And she doesn’t seem to mind a little company, either.

I’d be beyond happy for her to be an early potty trainer – and for us to say goodbye to diapers forever!!!
